Genesis Joy Project Institute, the sponsors of our club, was established in 2000 as a self help educational centre for
the underpriviledged. It provides low cost but high quality education to young people in Mathare slums of Nairobi, who would
not have had access to quality education.
Taekwondo is one of the major sporting activities introduced in 2007 under Master Samson Lipuka, an experienced instructor
with a lot of experience dealing with youth in slum areas. He established Undugu Taekwondo Club, which initially catered for
Nairobi street children. Today, many of his former students who were street children are now in the Armed Forces and Parastatals.
Hopefully, this success will continue in our school.
